About Rebecca, MS, RD, LD

I'm a registered dietitian who specializes in disordered eating and is passionate about helping people like you learn to care for their body with confidence, compassion, and joy. I developed a love for working in the disordered eating space after healing my own relationship with food, exercise, and body image.

My faith was paramount in my healing journey, and I believe that principles of the Christian faith often go hand-in-hand with how we think about and interact with food, movement, and our body.

I work with individuals of all backgrounds, but for those who desire, I incorporate biblical scripture and Christian principles into the counseling experience to help you begin to align your thoughts and behaviors around food and body with God's Word.

Education

I completed a concurrent bachelors and masters program in Diet & Exercise at Iowa State University and graduated in 2018. I went on to complete my dietetic internship through Iowa State University where I received 1200 hours of supervised practice in clinical dietetics, foodservice management, and community nutrition. After completing my dietetic internship, I became credentialed as a registered dietitian in 2019 and have since held my dietetic licensure in the state of Iowa

Professional Experience

I began my career working as a retail dietitian where I had the opportunity to host cooking and meal prep classes, lead worksite wellness programs, and provide 1:1 nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy. I later began working at a fitness center where I worked as a nutrition coach, personal trainer, and group fitness instructor and director.

Currently I am back at Iowa State University as a dietitian for the dining department. Here I have the opportunity to work 1:1 with college students on managing dietary restrictions on campus, learning how to take care of their body in college, and developing a healthy relationship with food.
